Booking & Quotes
How do I request a quote for electrical work?
You can request a quote via our website contact form, email, or by calling us directly.
What information do you need to provide an accurate quote?
For major projects, a photo of your current switchboard and a brief description of your goal are great starting points. For service work and fault-finding, we gather your site details and book a technician to assess the installation in person.
Do you offer on-site quotes?
Yes. An on-site diagnostic ensures the quote is fixed and accurate.
How quickly will someone contact me after I submit a quote request?
We aim to respond to all non-urgent digital inquiries within 1 business day.
Can you give estimates over the phone or online?
To maintain our standards of technical accuracy and site safety, we do not provide verbal quotes. Our process depends on the nature of your inquiry:
- For Residential Repairs & Service: Please contact us via telephone or email to discuss your requirements.
- For Projects & Commercial Works: To have your project reviewed by our technical team, please submit a formal request for tender to info@cleancutelectrics.com.au including:
- Comprehensive Site Contact Details
- Full Electrical Schematics and Single Line Diagrams
- FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) Schedules
- Construction Timetables & Milestone Dates
- Relevant Tender Documentation
- ASIC Company Extract
What happens after I request a quote?
We’ll review your info, provide a digital quote, and once you accept, you’ll be moved into our scheduling system.
Pricing & Payments
How is pricing calculated for electrical work?
We provide transparent, fixed-price quoting for projects. This ensures you pay for the result and our expertise, not just the hours on the clock.
Do you provide upfront pricing before work begins?
Yes. We do not start work until you have seen and accepted a fixed price.
Are there any hidden fees I should be aware of?
None. Our quotes include all labor, materials, and compliance filing fees. If a site condition changes the scope, we issue a “Variation” for your approval before proceeding.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), EFT, and Apple/Google Pay via our secure on-site mobile payment system.
Is payment required on the day the work is completed?
For residential and small commercial works, payment is required upon completion of the job on-site. We offer commercial credit accounts for higher volume customers.
Do you charge for call-outs or inspections?
We charge a diagnostic service fee for fault-finding and safety inspections, which covers our technician’s time and expertise to find the root cause of an issue.
Emergency & Urgent Electrical Work
What qualifies as an electrical emergency?
Anything involving smoke, fire, a “tingle” from a tap, exposed live wires, or a complete loss of power that impacts safety or essential services.
Do you offer after-hours or emergency electrician services?
Yes, we provide emergency response for critical electrical failures.
How quickly can you attend an urgent electrical issue?
We aim to be on-site for confirmed emergencies within 2 hours.
What should I do if I experience a power outage or tripping circuit?
Turn off the main switch, avoid touching the switchboard if it’s wet, and call a licensed professional immediately. Do not attempt to reset a circuit breaker that keeps tripping.
Is emergency electrical work available on weekends or public holidays?
Yes, we have technicians available for emergency safety calls 365 days a year.
Repairs, Faults & Maintenance
Can you diagnose recurring electrical faults?
Yes. We use advanced diagnostic tools to find “ghost” faults that other sparkies might miss.
What causes power to trip frequently?
Usually, it’s a faulty appliance, moisture in outdoor circuits, or an overloaded circuit. We find the specific cause so you can stop guessing.
Do you repair existing electrical installations or only replace them?
If it’s safe and cost-effective to repair, we will. If the system is a safety risk, we will recommend a replacement.
Can preventative maintenance help avoid electrical problems?
Absolutely. Regular RCD (Safety Switch) testing and thermal imaging of switchboards can prevent fires and costly downtime.

- For New Clients: We require an initial consultation where we meet you (or your representative) to establish site access and discuss the scope.
